On August 7, 2010 the parish celbrated the unveiling and blessing of the New St. Goerge statue.  The statue was purchased from Divine Mercy Parish,  Niagara Falls, New York, by the generous donations of parishioners.  Mr. Alvin Learn constucted a beautiful wood pillar for the statue to sit on. The the blessing and unveiling took place at the 4:30 pm mass with Rev. Ben Vanco (former pastor) Rev. Stanley Kscuik (current pastor) and our seminiarian Greg Schmidt in attendance.   Many were eager to see the new statue as it is life size.  We are honoured to finally have a true image of the patron saint of our church.  After the mass the parish held a parish BBQ  and fun fair in the parish hall.  There was wonderful food to purchase, games such as a cake walk (many beautiful cakes were donated by parishioners), fish pond, bouncy house Ect. It was a beautiful day, with many parishioners attending.  A special thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make sure everything was a success. We would like to thank Rick`s Old Tyme BBQ and Joe`s Valu -Mart for their donations of food.  All funds raised will go toward the new Roof fund.
